FIND YOUR AREA

The Halton Hamilton region offers a home for any lifestyle no matter who you may be.

This is where I hope to showcase the qualities of the homes and neighbourhoods of these communities.  Are you a farm girl?  City boy?  Athletic adventurer?  Sailor?  Artist?  There is a community that suits you no matter what your passion or daily life entails.

In alphabetical order…..

Ancaster:  A wonderful mix of history and high end…..beauty of the area is prominent with an abundance of upscale neighbourhoods filled with large yards and mature trees.  In every direction you will find beautiful old churches, green space and waterfalls.  Winding roads and streams along Sulphur Springs or Mineral Springs Roads will lead you into a town teeming with new life that still respects the old and keeps it intact.  Multi-million dollar homes may be popping up everywhere but an effort is evident when protecting beautiful landscapes and astonishing views.  Also close to the farm lands, market places, big box stores and plenty of recreational centres to keep everyone entertained.  Close to highways for the commuter.

Burlington:  Looking onto Lake Ontario this pristine little city has consistently been recognized as one of the most livable cities in Canada by Macleans magazine.  Plenty of commuters make this community home and many of them are the most affluent in the country.  A sought after destination for both young families and seniors and everything in between this city offers plenty of everything  you could want from shopping to theatre to activity centres and some of the best schools.  Although a quiet lifestyle is enjoyed here there are a multitude of festivals held at the Spencer Smith Park along side the waterfront and the newly built Pier.  Find a neighbourhood close to the GO to make your life a bit easier.

Dundas:  This valley town (also my home) is considered one of the prettiest little towns in the province and is often bustling with tourists and locals alike taking in the quaint and unique main street shops and restaurants.  It has been well renowned for being the home of developing and talented artists and offers plenty of beautiful views of the escarpment. Home to the Dundas Valley School of Art and Webster’s Falls as well as a new influx of microbreweries.  This town is beautifully nestled in the cusp of the Escarpment and offers plenty of trails and lookouts to discover.

Flamborough:  Surround yourself with the natural beauty of rolling hills and golden pastures as you head home to your acreage.  Stop in at the local farms along the ride for fresh eggs and homemade honey and jams.  Words can’t describe this area, you just have to experience it and perhaps never leave.

Hamilton:  Move over Steel City this new and improved Hamilton offers way more exciting improvements from the future plans for the Waterfront to the eclectic neighbourhoods popping up all over the city.  A huge effort is being made to keep the historic features of the city intact but each neighbourhood will see new and upbeat changes that promise to enrich the old and provide a new scene that will take this Ambitious City on an exciting ride for years to come.  Plenty of transplanted Torontonians are starting to make this their home.  A huge assortment of neighbourhoods…wonder which one is for you?  Ask me and I can tell you about all of them and what they offer.  Wait for it…so much more to see in the coming years.

Stoney Creek:  This area has been finding huge growth over the last couple of years.  It is a community with a large amount of pride.  Many that have grown up here choose to stay and the family ties are certainly evident.  A charming business district called  Old Stoney Creek  has a warm vibe with community spirit and offers plenty of interesting and historic shops, restaurants and services.  The numerous nearby waterfalls and trails are a huge attraction and the endless activities along the waterfront can be seen once you head west toward Beach Blvd from the Centennial Parkway area  seen here.  Close to highway access leading to Toronto or the Niagara region, many find this the perfect place to settle in.  Weekends can be filled with activities found in the Niagara region such as wine tours , skating, hiking, or enjoying the waterfront trails  and beaches.

West Hamilton Mountain is a great neighbourhood which also offers access to the downtown area through one of many mountain staircases that make Hamilton unique.

Waterdown:  Family friendly and centrally located within the Halton Hamilton connection.  Found next to highway access that quickly gets you to and from plenty of cities and communities.  Close to orchards, the Royal Botanical Gardens, plenty of golf courses and nicely located right between Burlington and Hamilton offering you the best of both worlds.  Perfect for commuters, young families and those who love to have plentiful amenities and large, newer homes.  Once affordable but fast becoming the place to be and prices are rising fast!

Arrange time to visit the area and plan to take in some day trips, festivals.  Follow me on social to learn about restaurants, attractions or upcoming events.
